launching in spring 2004, childish encompasses all things fabulous – from comfy, yet incredibly fashionable stylesto feel-good and flattering fabrics. from preppy to punk with a nod to mod to straight-up rock star style, childish fills the gap where other maternity brands fall short.

created by skye hoppus, a former MTV exec married to mark hoppus of blink 182 and mom to one-year-old jack, and suzanne mitchell, co-founder of baby mabel’s retail and online boutiques and mom of four-year-old ashton, childish embraces all things hip, cool, flirty, fun and comfortable through their high-end maternity and baby clothes.

the idea for childish was conceived when skye was seven months pregnant and heading out on tour with her husband’s band. as she packed her bags, she became incredibly frustrated with her maternity clothing choices. while she yearned for hip, form-flattering cuts and fabrics to help show off her new curves, she couldn’t escape the dull, uninspiring patterns and prints available. skye vented to close friend and maternity boutique owner, suzanne mitchell – the style guru for thousands of pregnant women – and together, they created their own line of childish clothing: from maternity to toddler and always innovative, stylish, comfortable, and, of course, fit for any rock star wife on tour. so go ahead…rock on and be childish.
